Garden Bloody Mary

A proper Bloody Mary starts with fresh tomatoes. This is what the drink was always supposed to be.

Method

  1. 1Blend tomatoes and celery until smooth. Pass through a fine sieve.
  2. 2Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and celery salt. Taste and adjust.
  3. 3Pour over ice with a generous measure of vodka. Garnish with a celery stick and herbs from the garden.
  4. 4Or serve as a virgin Bloody Mary — it is genuinely excellent without the alcohol.
