• Your growing zone, if you use zone detection. This is stored on your own device, not on our servers.
• Tips, questions, corrections, and recipe submissions you send through the site.

Form submissions (tips, questions, corrections, and recipes) are processed through Formspree. We also collect anonymous, aggregate usage data through Plausible Analytics, such as which pages are visited and general location at the country or region level. This data is never tied to you personally.

How we use your information

• To send you the newsletter and pre-launch updates you opted into.
• To review and publish community tips, corrections, and recipes.
• To improve the growing guides and the app.
• To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site.

Email communications

We use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to manage our email list. We only email people who opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We will never sell your email address to third parties.

Cookies and analytics

We keep tracking to a minimum. plant uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that measures visits without cookies and without collecting any personal or identifiable information. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles. Your browser's local storage is used only to remember your on-site preferences (like beginner or seasoned mode and your growing zone); that data never leaves your device.
