Use fresh leaves year-round. Frozen banana adds creaminess without ice.

What you'll need

Ingredients

  • 2 large leaves kale, stems removed
  • handful pea shoots
  • 6 leaves fresh mint
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup apple juice or coconut water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

How it comes together

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender.

  2. Blend on high for 60 seconds until completely smooth.

  3. Taste and add honey if needed. Drink immediately.

Tips

  • Freeze bananas in advance: peel them first, then freeze in a zip bag. They make smoothies thick and creamy without ice.
